And as the weather's crap, again at @Sandi T 's commendation, I started watching "Slow Horses" today. Gary Oldman is indeed brilliant in it. I'm enjoying this.
Seems we're on a total Taylor Sheridan marathon. What an amazing writer. Now Mr. Sandi and I are watching "Mayor of Kingstown". It's excellent but there are scenes (prison riot for example) that are brutal. I commented to Mr. Sandi (Steve) that Taylor Sheridan must never sleep!
We've just watched two excellent and fairly recent Tom Hanks films, Finch and News of the World. I'd recommend both of them.
I watched the movie "Plane" with my wife ( ) yesterday. An interesting variation of an airplane disaster movie. WARNING: The film shows extremely realistic and brutal scenes and is therefore not for the faint hearted!!!! More of the content I do not want to "spoil" you! Actors: Gerard Butler, Mike Coltor, Yoson An
We started watching "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" last night and are thoroughly enjoying it. Very sweet. Both Mr. Sandi and I are school psychologists so may enjoy it more than some but we've watch two episodes and are hooked. And yes, @Vulpes, three cheers that "1923" is back again.
Father Stu with Mark Wahlberg https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14439896/ Based on a true story but quite a strange film, a little bit too religious for me towards the end and quite sad.
A Man Called Otto, Tom Hanks. Matinee on a cold afternoon at our local independent cinema. It was packed… Great film. Tom Hanks doing what he does so well…!
Thanks, @Oldskool. This one is high on our list. Everyone we've talked to who has seen it has loved it.
I got round to watching or actually finishing The Banshees of Inisherin because Mrs B got bored with it! A strange film but well acted and worth a watch. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11813216/
Empire of Light. Olivia Colman. A film just made for her to star in… But not my favourite film of the year. A little long winded to tell the story.. But ok on a cold wet Tuesday afternoon..!
Edit: Fauda, not Fauna We're currently watching "Fauda". A punch to the gut but a very well done series. Makes me glad I live where I live.
We brought a Chromecast on holiday and it’s great to be able to watch Netflix, Prime and Disney+ on the hotel TV. Last night we watched Your Place or Mine with Reese Witherspoon and Aston Kutcher on Netflix. A funny feel good film that doesn’t get high ratings but I thought was worth the watch. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12823454/
