Mr. Sandi and I just watched those episodes of 1883, too. We both really enjoyed the series so far. Unlike you, I didn't notice a lot of unnecessary dialogue, @David Cooper. But then I'm a woman so my life--and my mouth--if filled with "much unnecessary dialogue" according to some people I know. ;):joy:

    Don’t look up... Netflix

A disaster comedy with Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo de Caprio. Wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but yeah, there’s some comedy gold in there... there are deliberate takes on recent historical (and hysterical) figures and the way fickle media is about trends and value points systems not set for “real people” in real lives... overall nudges a 7/10 score from me, it was quite good but I wouldn’t need to watch it again for a few years.

@PatW's post was a reminder that Mr. Sandi and I never did see JoJo Rabbit so we watched it this evening. We both really enjoyed it and thought it a very good movie.

This evening we watched "Land", a movie directed by and starring Robin Wright. Wright plays Edee, a woman who has experienced tragedy and moves to the wilderness in Wyoming to isolate herself and live off the land. She nearly dies but is discovered by Miguel, who himself has experienced tragedy. I found this film poignant and deeply moving. Plus the scenery and cinematography is stunning.

Called it an early night and watched "Dunkirk" again. 2nd time, 1st was in the theater. Movie's riddled with inaccuracies but it certainly captures the tension of the debacle. Bad ass flick no matter how you look at it.

Best little bit was right here during the 1st Stuka attack. When everyone was loosing their heads and scattering, this cat kept his head, jacked his bolt and started laying the hate.

    Be like this guy…

I started watching that today. I think it's really good, actually. Sam Elliott is brilliant, and I liked the appearance of BB thornton.

Might have to give 1883 a watch if only to see B B Thornton - he is an excellent character actor and was simply brilliant in the GOLIATH series ... as was Aranda as Patty.

I wasn't impressed with the episode of Yellowstone that I struggled through.

I think yellowstone is great - but to each his own, I suppose. I actually like 1883 because of the narrative.

Wrath Of Man, Jason Statham in a Guy Ritchie film. Typical Ritchie movie, jumps back and forth in time, bit of a twist in the tale, oh, and lots of violence. I’d say 5 out of 10 :(

It was the little things that made it for me, like Jonah Hill’s parent/child reversal skit on Trump famously saying “If Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her!”
    And any of Mark Rylance’s scenes… :D:D:D

I pretty much watch anything with Jason Statham in it. ;):D Sometimes the plot and acting are good, sometimes not so much. But if Jason's in it, "somehow" I still enjoy myself.

Born not far from me in Shirebrook, a little pit village. Actually, one of my favourites of his was Spy. He sent himself up a treat. :)

That's cool. :) I think I've previously seen Spy but I'm also thinking it might be time for for a rerun. I could use a good comedy--as well as a bit of eye candy. ;)
