Netflix doesn't have it here, but Amazon does - like you said, slow to start but definitely worth sticking with!
I'm seriously lacking in decent fillums at the moment, haven't watched anything actually worth mentioning in quite a while. Tried watching "the invisible man" the other day, I think I stuck it for 15 minutes.....
I saw the first one, with bilbo baggins, Dr Watson actor...... Martin Freeman! The police woman though, she put me right off. I did watch Hemlock Grove on Netflix though, good series (vampires and werewolves) but not 'technically' a film... Been watching Star Trek Discovery as it airs too. Actually better than I expected. Maybe a bit too pc....
I agree on ST discovery - a bit PC, but enjoyable nonetheless. The second Fargo is really good, as is the third one (with the delectable Mary Elizabeth Winstead...).
As is our tradition on Halloween we watched Rocky Horror Picture Show and it still cracks me up after watching it for about 30 years strait -also a great sound track. We also paid homage to Sean Connery and watched You Only Live Twice.
The Commuter. Starts off quite good but gets a bit daft with the special effects. The advent of CGI certainly makes special effects a whole lot easier and cheaper no doubt but sometimes it's just OTT IMO. When you watch iconic car chases in films like Bullitt and The French Connection where everything was filmed in real time it just makes you appreciate the planning and the sheer skill of the drivers involved.
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou -It had its moments, but be prepared for silly and goofy at a whole new level.
Watched Outlander on Netflix last night, it was OK I guess, better than watching that IACGMOOH shite on ITV.
