    The original Alien film.
Great suspence and special effects were cutting edge at the time it was made.
The scene where Sigourney Weaver is climbing out of her space suit with the Alien above her stands out.

Watched Trumbo the other night, great film about Dalton Trumbo (played by Brian Cranson aka Walter White from breaking bad) an American screen writer who was blacklisted for having communist views..Best line in the film was when John Wayne was giving a speach and someone said "boy he is good" to which the reply was yeah he's not acting! so true!

watched Sully last night , great film.

On Jan. 15, 2009, Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) tries to make an emergency landing in New York's Hudson River after US Airways Flight 1549 strikes a flock of geese. Miraculously, all of the 155 passengers and crew survive the harrowing ordeal, and Sullenberger becomes a national hero in the eyes of the public and the media. Despite the accolades, the famed pilot now faces an investigation that threatens to destroy his career and reputation.

    Clint Eastwood Directed

Tom Hanks has a habit of picking good scripts,i don't think it's getting shown up my way until December, but i'm looking forward to seeing it

. Sounds good look forward to seeing it , Talking of Clint Eastwood not only an awesome actor but a very good director , imo. Also can ride a motorcycle , good bike chase in Coogans Bluff though maybe had a stunt man for the more hairy parts!

Arrival - 2hrs of pretentious crap, I like a Sci Fi but this was tedious, weak storyline even though it had time travelling(thinking) aliens. Uninspiring CGI, actors struggling to make the script seem exciting. Reviews rated 8.4 but they must have seen a different film!

The BFG - scared the crap out of me, those nasty giants were real bad boys. Grand daughters loved it though.
Actually a real nice family film.

Saving Ryans Privates - haven't seen it for years, still a bloody good film. Especially D-Day on the beach and final scene defending the bridge. Think I enjoyed it more this time around.

Watched The Revenant, quite enjoyed it but it's long and a bit slow in places. Also watched Warcraft last weekend.
My lad said it was a cheesy version of Lord of the Rings, about right I'd say, pretty good CGI though.
