Fantastic film. Try and find the uncut original or the BBC mini series version - they're twice as long!
Kingsman, a great good fun tongue in cheek action movie and Michael Caine is in it oh yeah And The Mr Darcy bloke. I ain't a film buff but when I like a film it is generally a nonsense film like Kingsman
I love world cinema: - Gaisha - Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - Kung Foo Hustle But love cinematic films with fantastic photography like - The fall - Life of Pi - Cloud Atlas Most recently watched The Lego Movie...for the 100th time (my youngests choice!)
I remember watching Das Boot with English subtitles on TV with my dad about 30 odd years ago, got into the early hours of the morning when it finished but I remeber how good it was and very captivating...I am going to have to find it again, the extended version of course.
Girlfriends grandson is here. The Minions was put on for him. Actually liked it and and a laugh at the childish stupidness. Not bad.
Antman amusingly stupid I liked it. Kingsman the final scene in that when watching wth teenage son was slightly disturbing, lol but a good film, liked the kill bill scene. The Martian enjoyed that film was a very positive take on isolation, apart from the odd moment, Matt Damon was having a great time on Mars.
Never seen the Martian. Loads of Rave reviews. Going to watch `The Departed`now. Oh, and crack open a cool one.
Midnight Express. Scared the shite out of me first time I saw it. I wouldn't go to Turkey either. The Departed. 8 out of 10. Entertaining and plenty of shootings in the head. Wooooo! Murrica!
Went onto the IMDB and checked out their top 250 movies of all time. Kinda misleading as with any other `poll` online. Kinda skewed/flawed results if you like as some people only remember recent stuff. Anyway Dark Knight Rises. Couldn't get my head round it for love nor money and I got bored after what seemed like about 6 hours. Fuck, it drags on.
Last night I watched "ARQ" on Netflix a film on a budget, quite good. Think Groundhog Day with a twist "Trapped in a lab and stuck in a time loop, a disoriented couple fends off masked raiders while harboring a new energy source that could save humanity."
O Brother, Where Art Thou? 3 Convicts escape to look for their loot in 1930s America. A different, funny and feel good movie. The music was strangely enjoyable.
