Anyone know these guys? They’re based in Bately, West Yorkshire. Google reviews look alright, don’t know if I’d be daft buying a bike ‘unseen’ Cheers
We have a thread on here called "used bike inspections" to help members by having someone local have a look at it for you and give an honest, independent opinion. Maybe one of our West Yorkshire members could assist?
Cheers bud. My Triple is in the workshop just now, I’m hoping it’s back soon and I’m able to use as trade in. Hoping nobody buys the blooming object of my desire before me
Dug a bit deeper, some shocking reviews about the dealers. Bad enough to make me look elsewhere. Thanks all above.
I’ve visited their shop once about a year ago to look at a Colin Edwards rep Mille that they were selling. The ad said it was immaculate, in perfect condition and maintained regardless of expense. The reality couldn’t have been further from the truth. It had corroded fasteners, rusty disc bobbins, leaky fork seals and more faults. Other bikes I looked at there weren’t great either. I’d steer clear of the place unless the price is very favourable.
I bought my speedmaster from the guys at Jemspeed. Couldn't praise them enough. They delivered free to Blackpool on the date agreed, serviced and cleaned. Check out their showrooms, very cool place. Ask for Lee.
I've been to the shop quite a few times for a midweek run out and coffee/pop. They do have some wonderful bikes and some ok ones but not any bangers. I'd say the prices tend to be up near the top and certain "special" bikes dont justify the price tag IMHO. They had a lovely MV 800 plus another one in special Italian colours ( A sort of Castrol combination). It did look well but at £7k more than the first one my mate and I both agreed that, if any, we'd have bought the first and professionally have it painted.
Duck isnt that a dating site? What will the wife think? Make no wonder your getting Arab porn recomendations with all your dodgy statements
Think I’ve made my mind up to stay clear, especially as it would be bought unseen. Oh well the search continues, and that’s still fun.
I’m looking at the matte grey speed triple r they have. Incidentally I did have a mk1 1200 bandit in racing green, stage one tuned. It was an incredible bike. I traded it for my first triple.
what are these bad reviews is it the bikes or the company it wouldn't worry me how bad their reviews were as long as I was happy with the price and the bike checked out ok what's the problem you don't have to like the company to buy a bike from them.
If you are in Somerset and drooling over a bike in Newcastle you consider buying unseen and having delivered would you not investigate the sellers’ reputation?
I’m in sunny Scotland and looking at a bike in West Yorkshire, the dealers are getting poor reviews for servicing etc. So when they tell me it’ll be serviced I’m not that convinced. If they were in Glasgow or Edinburgh I’d nip over and check it/them out.
I never believe it when they say they’ll service it before you pick it up. From experience the most they’ll do is put some new cheap oil in it and wipe the filter over.
Bought my Rocket111 from Jemspeed. Delivered fully serviced and mot,d. I never believe a bike has been serviced properly unless i know the bike shop personally, so I always do it again myself, checking every nut and bolt as the mot means nothing. The bike developed a leaking fork seal one month after Jemspeed said it had been fixed by them, the low fuel light stays on ( after I was promised a full tank of fuel but the bike was delivered almost empty so hiding the light problem)... And I was given a 30-day guarantee but it was over a month before I finally got round to riding the bike so couldn't go back to them. So Jemspeed has nice food and drink but I wouldn't buy a bike unseen from them.. oh I was promised two t-shirts for buying the bike but never got them either and the sales guy Lee was on maternity leave? so could talk with him either..
Hello, I'm new to this site and own a 2018 Triumph Street Triple RS and track the bike. ! question has anyone tracked that bike with a rear tire of 180/60/70 and was there a benefit of going up from the stock 180/55/17. Please only response to this if you use your bike for tracking not street or canyon riding. Thank You Joe Salemi
@Joseph Salemi you need to post your query in one of the more appropriate forums, like the Street Triple forum, or you’re unlikely to have your question answered, when the thread here has nothing to do with what you’re asking.
