Hi, So:just came back from rally-Storming the Castle (What a weekend!). This gig is run to raise money for The motorcycle action group or MAG for short (Will be joining for the work they do for us all) Anyway... in one of the Back issue magazines with statistics about motorbike accident rates-would you believe it included Italy. The theory and direct analysis goes that the more bikes on the road the less accidents there are, and Italy’s accident rate is a third of our own, ( 1.26% per 100,000.) which just goes to show that because there are so many of them, they are also more visible- car drivers must be more alert As they have no choice.. This goes some way to explain observing how they ride, or are able to, probably becoming much more confident of being less vulnerable...I’m also guessing they ride in less rain!!
Hi and welcome, Been to Tuscany and the Dolomites a couple years back - brilliant roads inhabited by mad men, especially in the cities. Fairly tame compared to Thailand though...
