    ...out the bloomin' radiator cap!

So, I have flushed my coolant and refilled etc etc...but the radiator cap leaks (it never did until I flippin touched it), so...what now...a new cap I assume...

The current one looks misshapen, the metal cap bit, not the actual rubber bit

    Are these bike specific?

Can I get one from a car spares place?

    Are them serviceable?

    This bloomin' bike... :triumph:

What do you think I am, some sort of Muppet!?

    (Yeah, sort of...)...

I found the cap really hard to get off...and so, to make things easier to put it back on I bent the little tabs under the cap out a little so the fit was a little looser.

However, I think this then meant when I put it on it didn't pull the cap down enough to create a good seal.

So taking it off and just generally playing with the cap I decided to clean (with brake cleaner) all around the inside of the cap and just feel I made the pressure spring mechanism a little free-er and also rebent the tags so they start off easier but pull good and tight.

This seems to have given a good pulling down of the cap, so it seals well.

Ran up to temperature and all seems ok...

I did film all this... but forgot to press 'record'...but it was a brilliant job; promise!!

    Shame about the record button.

You started at 1:41 PM and finished at 7:40 PM, so your radiator cap film would have been a 6 hour epic
