I think the current membership fee is a paltry £25, so you can do the sums and work out if it will save you money. And just in case anyone is behind the times and thinks that MAG is only interested in promoting freedom to choose whether to wear a helmet or not (some of you might remember the name Fred Hill) the organisation recently persuaded the Highways people who are responsible for roads in Cumbria to fit non-skid manhole covers. Might save a life or two. And they are currently trying to get all councils across Britain to open up bus lanes for use by us lot, with growing success. Plus reduce or abolish tolls on bridges and tunnels for bikes, again with some success. So they are helping you. But they need funds to do these things. So get your finger out and join!
