Hey shut up @littleade !:mad::D:D don't want to hear about death ! My head was inches aways the rear wheel of that maniac.. ( girl, nurse).:confused:

Man, you guys sure are nice, thinking about me, I'm touched. Thank you all. I'm fine guys. As a matter of fact I was wearing my kevlar leggins, big leather and helmet, and armour reinforcement at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees for the first time. So i'm all good. Bad Betty (my ride) is pretty banged up, all across the left side.

mirrors, indicators, engine covers, whole gear shift, paint, pipes, tank paint, handles, meters, front light, possibly fork, all that needs to be changed. Someone told me they actually might replace it. But I want either mine or A t100. those street twin are not the bike I have been dreaming of for 5 years and riding for 2000 miles in a month.

Anyhow... has Dave shared the "logo" I designed somewhere ? You guys want to see it ? :D

    re reading the posts:

Turning right with my signal on when the light would be green, slightly on the right and behind a car,. Green light, she moved ( no signals, you see where this is going ;)) I followed and started getting momentum ( from stop to green light to turning movement) started my turn and suddenly she was in front of me in the middle of the road, hit my front wheel pretty hard, actually hard enough to lay me on the ground under the bike and then push it away a few meters, I was on the ground.

She got out, somehow police was already here, she told every one right away it was her fault. I'm all banged up, sore basically every where, got a bit scared to have my head squished under her rear wheel, but I'm all fine, no broken bones, no internal bleeding, nothing on the spine and vertebrae xrays. just bruises. I mean, i don't know about her, but I was doing 20mph max.

[QUOTE="littleade, post: 58329, member: if a bike gets written off the insurance policy gets cancelled to and you have to take out another one so you loose the remaining peroid of cover between when they paid out and your renewal date. Cheers Ade[/QUOTE]

You mean I have to pay for another full year of insurance cover ? did I just lost 1600£?!?!:eek::eek::eek:
( new rider, insurance is from may paid yearly).

Good to hear you are ok Sam ( relatively speaking of course)
As to the bike it can always be replaced.

It's really simple to understand but more difficult to accept.

If you have an accident, your insurance company might declare that your vehicle has suffered too much damage in relation to it's current value and so they "write it off" in other words say it's not worth repairing; they then pay you a sum (which IS negotiable so don't accept their first offer!!!) and then they say the insurance contract is now finished.

However, in Sam's case the fault have been established as being caused by the third party, so any costs will be paid by the 3rd party's insurer. In view of this, on what basis could HIS insurer void the contract, when they haven't paid out?

Bike sounds a definate write off, so will be paid out on or replaced, as for insurance not sure on that Sam, hopefully it doesn't mean you losing 1600 quid, that's to much to lose if its not your fault anyway !!
main thing is your ok and relatively uninjured,
So did you run into the rear of the car when it stopped suddenly in front of you ??
Good thing police was on the scene to help !!!

She basically cut me off by turning at relatively high speed suddenly turning right.i was behind her, but she turned too soon, and so sharply I could not avoid her...

Hopefully you can claim back your insurance premium if its definately established your not at fault,
Did you pay all at once or monthly ?
I remember 25 years ago I had a non fault accident after having just paid my insurance money about a month later I tried to cancel the policy it to try and get some of my premium returned to me, but at that time i was told I couldn't do that because there was an ongoing claim !!
where insurance companies are concerned its anyone's guess, hopefully some of it can be claimed back for you

OK peeps have been asking what the T's are going to look like.

The idea is to have a grey T with the following design printed onto it in dark grey.

    Forum get-together logo2.png

In years to come these will be collectors items worth BIG money ;);):D:D:D:D:D:D

    Understand now Sam,

So long as she admitted responsibility directly to the police,or they seen it themselves then you've no worries
