Offer for the America, going to accept.
The first offer was £4500!!!! They are a bunch of feckin scumbags.
DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR FIRST OFFER, EVER!
I cannot believe the have increased it by this amount, I even offered to take £5300. So at least something has worked out. Should be able to replace the bike easily enough, nd even get something newer for around £6000.

Got an accident policy to get a pay out from, that will top me up to over £6k, so just waiting on that.

Probably be over the Xmas holiday that I really get one bought. Sales will be pretty desperate to get a bike sold at that time of year, so going to hold off, maybe. If an absolute belter pops up local, I'll be like a rat up a drainpipe, so here's hoping.

Only problem is a lot are LT's, and I really can't see me riding with footboards and changing them is a bit of a pain. (Unless you are reading this and really want a set of LT boards in a swap for your pegs and crossbar ???), might even post in wanted to see !!!

I see where you are coming from Mr O insurance companies as a whole tend to specialise in trouser removal. I lived in Spain for 5 years and during that period had both bike and car insurance without any claims whatsoever, in 2011 we decided to move back to UK duly bought a car only to find that, as I had not lived in the UK for 5 years (2 year plus gap in UK insurance), 40 plus years of claim free bike and car insurance went straight down the toilet. So much for the EU being all in it together!
I have had to build up my bike insurance again but was fortunate to source "Zurich insurance" who agreed to up my no claims to 5 years if my first year back in UK was claim free. Thankfully it was.
Good luck with your search, just a thought how much would a trader policy cost?
    Cheers, Pete.

No, it honestly does !!!! Beast of a thing to try and move about, really got to plan ahead when coming to park it anywhere, but once its moving, absolutely brilliant. Weight is so low it just swings around easy as. But the first junction you stop at, be aware, this thing is bloody heavy and if it goes, jump far my boy, cos it is going down fast !!!! I nearly dropped my Brother in laws on the road outside his house, but did manage to hold it up, (hernia only lasted a few months), was tempted to just turn around and return for fear of dropping it, but honestly within minutes i was having a blast !!!!!

Planning to go look at this beast Saturday morning, bit more than I have to spend, but maybe the missus will treat me !!!!;)

After my two unfortunate incidents earlier this year
    - March 2010 Speed triple written off 100% no fault
    - April £3k damage to my 2016 Speed Triple - They offered 50/50 I want 100% non liability so ongoing 7 months later

My renewal has come in....from £450 to £1,500!
Will shop around and also dispute this rise but if it doesn't significantly go down I will likely downsize the bike

I'm not sure you will get insurance elsewhere, as you have an ongoing claim no-one will want to touch you until its settled BTDT

Unfortunately all your information is shared on the search sites which is why they will not negotiate like they did a few years back.
They are all in it together to fleece as much as they can from law abiding citizens.

They are abusing the laws which (for the correct reasons) mean that having the insurance for at least third party coverage is compulsory.

It used to be that if an incident wasn’t your fault then your premiums didn’t rise, but there is so much fraud these days they are grabbing money from wherever they can, and it is easier for them to take it from the law abiding than the people who are actually the problem.

I’ve been run into twice in car parks in the last three years and even though it was entirely beyond my control and 100% indisputably the other party’s fault, my premiums have gone up.

I wanted to add a bike to my policy to cover the bantam as well, spent 20 minutes giving them all the information they were asking for, then it was a case of ‘computer says no. The bike is too old for us to insure’. I asked them why when I told them at the start that it was a 1957 Bantam, did they waste my time and theirs, and they just said that the computer doesn’t tell them until the end of the process.

I wanted to adjust the stated value of my other bike to reflect that it is now 7 years old, and they wanted to put the premium for fully comprehensive up to £120 from £82 on the grounds that if the bike is worth less, I am less likely to drive it carefully. I told them to leave the value alone since they would only pay out on the same value regardless of whether I told them the bike was worth £10k or £2k and the guy agreed with me that their policies were twisted and made no sense.

    Legal unregulated robbery.
Play them at their own game I'm never calling another one on the phone and wasting 40 minutes of my life again, just go online at every renewal and choose the cheapest quote.
As a little ditty, I especially like the way Bennetts (wankers) changed my 16 years no claims to the rating of 9+ effectively wiping off 7 years which i could tell another company

You shouldn't tell them that DD the stats probably say after 35 years you're due one and load your premium:p

Beware Multi-Car Policies! SWMBO went on line through Admiral today as it was cheaper to insure both cars together. However, once the schedule was delivered (after payment of course) she discovered that although I was declared as the policy holder & main driver for my car they made her the policy holder & main driver for both cars thus resulting in me losing my 15 + years NCB. Bastards! After an hour on the phone to somewhere many miles away (butbut but butbut) they eventually saw the error of their ways & agreed to give us a full refund. Only because we had proof of the schedule we had agreed to. Without that it would have cost so £50 cancellation fee  We have now insured through two separate companies. Taken all fu***** afternoon! I need a drink

Definitely a mistake their side. As has already been mentioned, photographic proof of transaction. Yes all companies make mistakes I'm sure. Just buyer beware. Check & double check

Did anyone see SuperShoppers or SuperSavers or whatever last night? Even using a gmail.com address rather than a Hotmail.com address can increase your insurance.

    Absolutely mental.
