    Hi guys,

Took a gamble on ebay and got a bargain Honda Blackbird (reg 2007) with 28k miles for my two motorway 30 mile commute (I couldn't resist @Dozers Dad).

Torque in every gear, comfortable and not horrendous on the fuel feels nice. Love the dash.

Photos to follow when cleaned up and the weather is actually nice.

Any other traitors (sorry owners) cheated on their Triumph with this floozy?

That was a worthwhile PM chat we had then, NOT! :joy:

As I said Gaz. If you can live with the additional running costs? The Blackbird will be a good step up from your Thundercat :)

What happened to the Thundercat? Have you had that back from the insurance to tart up? The damage you described is feck all. It would be a great winter hack for somebody that doesn't need a flashy Blackbird? :p

I know you were right but it was a bargain, honestly :p

Had to transfer the Thundercat insurance with my no claims as didn't fancy the 2k bill for insuring the Blackbird from scratch

I'm going to repair her and see in the new year but thanks for the advice

You wouldn't be proud to take the Hayabusa to meet your mates though with those looks

New toys are always good Gaz. Especially 180mph toys! :yum

So ignore my sensible suggestions of fixing the Thundercat for the sake of a £13 sidestand & £2 worth of glue for the mudguard....... Oh yeah, you did ignore me didn't you!  :p

Enjoy your new toy mate. Do you have a Haynes manual for it? There's one on Fleabay for £11.50 with a best offer option. I reckon it could be yours for a tenner?

180mph you say I never knew :joy:

I took this on board so I could say I completed a project bike in the new year :grinning:

I'll have a look at the manual cheers.

Aren't all superbikes limited to 300 kph by the ecu, I think I seen somewhere that mine is limited to 250 kph maybe cause it's naked and no fairings.

Hi Gazza and congrats on yer new toy. I test rode one a few years ago and was amazed at the level of competence of the Blackbird.

Two fat blokes up and +100 mph in the rain on the M1 - totally stable.

    Thanks, it's s a beauty for sure.

I'm Triumph-less at the moment after the new 765r went back to the dealer. Wasn't using it enough and want something bullet proof all year round and this ticks the boxes

Great bike will do every thing you want. Not keen on the colour but then I won't ride or own a green bike. Just me.
    Regards & Ride Safe.

    Isn't it a gunmetal/silver?
Looks like the low evening sun could be distorting the colour Joe?
None of the black bits look properly black either mate.

Yes I can see the grey in the second picture. Must be a pearlescent paint which is not cheap.
    Regards
    Joe.

Congrats on the bike, gazzatheyid! Sounds like a good choice for your current MC needs. But....Triumph-less?! Nooooo!:eek::scream::scream: Better start looking. I can help with the research if you like. I love spending other people's money. ;)
