The Suzuki engined models are pretty much bulletproof, but not as powerful as the Rotax engines. I've never owned a Rotax model, they are a bit agricultural for my liking to be honest. The jap motors are fairly tunable though, but can also suffer from the electrical issues Suzuki's had on certain models at that particular time. They handle absolutely mega as well, i did everything on my 644DS, including commuting, track days and even a trip to the TT which included a 100 mile motorway ride either side of the trip. I also had the biggest crash i've had on the road on it. Th e rear shocker snapped at the bottom mount in the middle of a 60mph left hander in the middle of nowhere - that was a bad day
