Just like some other forum members, I am also an avid collector of knives. In the course of a security check at an event, however, I had to give up one of my favorite pieces irretrievably! The control had unfortunately not been announced beforehand! In the short term I was very angry! However, I was able to replace the loss in a timely manner, fortunately. One of the large Internet stores has my knife still in the assortment and currently even with a special highlight, a possibility for an individual branding. The result you can see on the following photos.
Is that an EDC (every day carry) knife? I think the rules are reasonably universal across the EU (and former EU) countries. Blade less than 7.62cm and non-locking (slip joints are ok). Obviously no zombie, throwing, flick, etc knives either. Looks nice. Edit: they do some really nice kit! Can’t figure out if they are EDC though…
In Austria we have very "moderate" rules for knifes. You are allowed to carry it, without any additional regulations, like length or fixation. Only "covered" knifes, you can not identify as a knife like pen knifes, belt buckle knifes and cheque card knifes are prohibited. In the case of my new knife there is no problem. I am using it as a EDC. The blade lenght is 8.4 cm. All over lenght is 20cm. In Austria there are only some known places where every kind of weapon is prohibited. Additionally asylum seekers and persons without residence status are not allowed to carry any kind of "weapon".
Very nice knife. I consider knifes to be tools that could be used as weapons more than just a weapon. My current EDC is a Benchmade Auto opener. I will assume this is not legal in the UK and is only legal in most of the US for military and law enforcement.
