Not scientific, but it does illustrate the point.

Going to re-fuel on the bike is starting to p**s me off.
Several garages have told me that company policy does not allow them to serve fuel until you have removed your helmet.
So the flip up lid benefit for re-fuelling may disappear.
I have asked each time if the same rule applies to other head coverings, I normally get a twitch of the shoulders reply. :kissing:

I think it illustrates the point very well.
Luck also plays a big part in how you land and what you hit on landing.
I like the transparent protective toe caps on the guys Jesus sandles.

Almost, it was about 90ish, but when the wobble started, i eased off the throttle, which didn't help the wobble, I then tried to accelerate to see if that would help.
It didn't, I just came of at higher speed

After an Incident on my Bandit 12 at Cadwell Park, I found the best thing to do is let go of the bars, sit back and wait.
On that occasion, it came back to me, although it did result in bent lockstops on a month old Bandit...!

I've done a few practice days at Caldwell Park many moons ago.
Bloody rubbish myself but great learning and fun.
Fortunately never came off even when pushing it a bit for me.

The race bike here was lifting at about 120, it could lift the front wheel still as it went across the line, which is @185mph.

But that's nothing compared to the wheelie record the guys do at Elvington, the records about 213mph currently !
    Those guys have big cojones....

I think she'll be going for mid priced. She had a Caberg that she liked, her currant AGV is just about falling apart(not to the point of dangerous) she's tried Shark but they don't seem to fit her very well,I've got a Shark and it's great.
Colour, has the be pretty(apparently) not pink, though she did by a car because she liked the colour.

Just my .02 cents or pence:
Flip up helmets are noisy compared to any full face non-flip up, no argument here.
They are more convenient for sure.
Comfort is relative to head shape and helmet brand.
It could be argued, that a non-flip up helmet is safer than a flip up(who wants to try prove that?), reason they are not allowed at the track.
Last but not least, riding without ear plugs is crazy no matter what helmet you wear.

Let us hope that none of us are put in the situation where we need to rely on our crash helmet to save us from brain damage in the event of a collision. Although I am unable to prove it, I would be surprised if the major players do not invest more money into Safety R & D

    Good info Sprinter!
Us old gits though will still go Shoei /Arai because "we always have" & we don't do change! I would add to always buy from a rep dealer as I wouldn't trust ebay/Amazon etc.
My Shoei is long overdue for change as its 10 years old! Mint condition but even so. Sprinters link is food for thought! Gotta change next season lol but I'm lucky as I can get a 50% discount from Schuberth!

A bit like bikes & cars, we tend to stick with what we know & trust, even if sometimes we are ill informed. Lazy? Perhaps

It's when you get a one star or less you want to start worrying. 3 star is better than average. If you are not happy you could always wear a turban
