HI guys , again thank you for all the help! Still trying to resolve the issue... looks like the main fuse keeps shorting out and can't figure out what is the reason. Still not starting perhaps the constant short in the fuse box may have something to do with it. Any suggestions?
    Thanks again

Hi Ron and thanks for the help here is some more info:, Fuse blows as soon as inserted, main fuse is number 7 and it is a 40 amp. Also the schematic that I have form Haynes indicates that it is similar to the t509. I checked for continuity and it is weird; on one side of the fuse connector its ok. On the side with the large cable it has continuity??? It is a thick brown cable and looks just like the cable that connects directly to the battery and alternator... In the schematic it shows one cable from the battery going to ignition, ecm and to the main fuse link. they are connected at different points in series; the other from the main fuse to the alternator. I just don know which one of the cables has continuity. It looks like the thicker one thus I am assuming it could be the cable to the battery? Thanks again for the help and yes I have owned and loved this great bike since April 29 1998. It would have to be electronic gremlins that put it out of service!
