Just picked up a new Scrambler 1200 XE and thought heated grips were one of the upgrades over the xc, but my bike doesn't have them... am I crazy?
That's really curious, I've just checked the World Of Triumph parts page for the Scrambler XE and XC; and they list heated grips fitted to the XE and unheated to the XC. It may be a difference between UK and Canadian specs, certainly worth a query to the dealer you bought it from and if you're unhappy with their answer, try writing to Triumph themselves. Hope you can get this sorted.
Prior research is a worthwhile tool Did you just buy a new bike on blind assumption? You do know what "thought" did don't you? Farted, but actually he'd s#it himself
Gee, thanks. I didn't buy the bike because it had heated grips, nor would I have not bought it because it didn't. I bought it because I wanted it. I was happy I was able to test ride one and it did what I needed it to, made me giggle, so I bought it. No I didn't ask the salesman if it came with heated grips, but what reviews and info I had seen and read ahead of time said that it did. Looks like it did for a couple years and now doesn't for some reason...
Interesting point you made there @Kelso A few years ago, 2015 ish, I was thinking of buying a Ford Focus, bear in mind I'm talking UK. Previously, say 2010, the Focus came with cruise control. I checked out the current then model and some bean counter had made more profit by stealing it . Apparently you only "needed" a cruise control on the larger Mondeo model Needless to say I spent my money on a different brand. Caveat Emptor, as they say.
The XE originally had heated grips as standard. https://triumph-mediakits.com/en/ne...rips are also fitted,on the Scrambler 1200 XC. Now it doesn't.
