It is Hugh's first birthday today. To celebrate I headed up to Shropshire to visit Father-in-law on Friday and came back today. Just an excuse for a run up through Wales and a run back through the Malverns, Cotswolds and Chilterns. I'm feeling cream crackered but Hugh did not miss a beat, even in all this scorching sunshine. 2520 miles on him now which is easily the most I have put on a bike in a year in well over a decade. Once he's cooled down I'll wash the bugs and dust off him. Oh, and 72mpg which I am highly impressed with - I'm hardly a quick rider but I don't dawdle either.
In the past I have used an app called Fuely but I've not bothered with Hugh. When I scrolled through to check the mileage when I got home today I saw the 72 but yeah the accuracy is questionable. As is the 220 miles tank range indication I got on filling up half way home.
