I didn't watch it but the only decent celeb on there was Foggy when he won it, he's mellowed down a lot since retiring from racing. His book The world according to Foggy is a giggle too.
My Friends Wife who works in the airport. Anyway there was this slightly scruffy chap in the first class line not tarted up or anything like the others. So she approached him and asked can I help you sir. He said no. She ask if he knew where he was and could she help. He said no my name is Carl Foggerty check your list. She had to smile as she didn't know him. But everyone around fell over laughing. He took it good spirit and smiled aswel And said not to worry it happen al the time. Regards Joe.
I think any telly that has bike content is preferable to the other drivel out there. Guy martin IS a bit bonkers, but he'll have a go at anything I agree. Any telly that has bike content is good telly. Guy martin is as mad as a box of frogs, but he'll have a go at anything and is very down to earth and seems to shrug off any 'fame' he might have, which makes for my kind of entertainment. Our guy in Tokyo was great IMHO. I'm REALLY' looking forward to him doing a jump on 'my' bike, as from the pics it looks like an XE with a XC tank, and it would be churlish not to use the bike with the longer suspension travel.
I was watching a program on french telly a couple of nights ago when Guy was attempting to beat the "wall of death" speed record. And of course he did ! Brave or stupid who knows? But he's got brass balls !!!!!
Yup, I watched it. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Made me want to visit Japan (the Rugby World Cup did the same). I like Guy Martin. He comes across as pretty genuine and down to earth. Looking forward to his Steve McQueen jump next Sunday. Henry Cole gets a thumbs up from me too, simply because he puts motorbikes on telly, just try to ignore his fake estuarine accent and forgive him for having gone to Eton. His Greatest Motorcycle Journeys are worth a look and his biography makes light but interesting reading. I'm surprised some people think there's nothing worth watching on telly. I don't have Sky, Netflix or whatever but there's some pretty good stuff on the main channels. In the last 12 months we've had 'Peaky Blinders', 'Taboo', 'Killing Eve' and 'Gentleman Jack', all stonking great dramas to name but 4, plus regulars like 'Have I Got News for You' and 'Would I Lie to You?', which never cease to impress with their wit, humour and intelligence. I could go on. I can understand why some people may choose not to watch TV because they've got better things to do with their time but to say there's nothing worth watching, well, I think you're missing some fine entertainment.
Nope. If it's not on one of yer basic TV channels I can't get it. Think I read a few of the comics some years ago though.
Dozers Dad That's funny as I do exactly the same to Tracy. She watches them all. Again I don't mind I just wind her up with similar results. But she has rewind on the tv so she watches it all over. We got a tv with I think three remotes and the only one I know is the one to switch it on then nothing. Regards Joe.
Duckadiledundee. You on board here mate. You know I may have an old tv you could have. You are definitely missing it all. Regards Joe.
Wouldn't you think, with the money he's made over the years, he could afford a set of teeth that fit, and didn't whistle....
