You won't think so when she refuses to take the overtake that YOU know is absolutely on; within the capapbilites of her bike and her riding skills but she's still sat there a few k's down the road! I exaggerate for comedic effect, of course, but there WILL be moments of frustration.

Still, there IS a great feeling when you rock up to something like a bike meet or car park and people start to realise that the lead biker is a female. OMG, she's in leather! Slim, attractive and much younger than the old bloke behind her on the other bike. Damn! They're together! How'd he do that? Old fart - must have money ...... :D

p.s. seat cowl available - negotiations under way. More anon.

Sorry Wim but everytime I see the title of this thread I read it as "I got the wife pregnant" and I think to myself, how the hell did he stay sober enough to do that ? :p:eek::D

Speed & Street's definitely make great "His & Hers" bikes.
I hope you've got bike to bike intercoms, great for "I'll wait for you at the next turning" type messages.
(and I'm not saying which one is making the call) :);)

I'm always on satnav duty (Chris doesn't do maps :)), we've just got a pair of bluetooth com's, work fine if still in "line of sight", not complicated to use and no wires to forget to unplug etc, etc.
If we REALLY get separated they're also linked to our mobiles and set to speed dial.

It's definitely helpful at times to have an intercom to be able to communicate with each other. Basic stuff especially like "Where do we turn?", "Aren't those clouds off at the horizon beautiful?", "Let's stop for a bit of a break". Yes, very handy. And it beats trying to interpret hand signals or riding along behind one's spouse when he missed our left turn four miles ago.

But....there can be down sides. I've learned that I'm inclined to speak most of my thoughts out loud when I ride. Some of which shouldn't be said out loud, even to my loving spouse. And though the intercom can be clicked off, somehow those thoughts that should remain thoughts and not become spoken words seem to come out of my mouth when the intercom is, unfortunately, not turned off. Especially when I thought it was. Thank goodness Mr. Sandi is a forgiving soul. My mom was right. She admonished me to "think before you speak". And her all time favorite was "if you don't have anything nice to to say, don't say anything at all". :joy: Good advice, especially when using an intercom system with your spouse when you're both on bikes.

Sadly mrs Vulpes failed the written test today - she was REALLY well prepaired, aced all the practice tests. Unfortunately she was ambushed with uncomprehensible questioning. I saw the test, and would have failed. This was set up by the same organisation she bought the practice tests from. Not acceptable. we now pursue different avenues to get it done.

    Commiserations. :(
I hope your licensing authority is in a better state than ours at present, I hear stories of huge backlogs for re-tests here - being blamed on Covid restrictions but I don't think they're trying very hard to sort it.
Hopefully mrs Vulpes will be on her new toy soon. :)

Sadly our licensing authority is not - for the same reasons. But fortunately there are other options... we'll try those...
