The Accomodation list is now up on its own thread. So get booking, I know it's a long way off but if you have specific requirements then please book early. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/gmu-2018-wales-accomodation.10927/ Mr O will make this new thread Sticky in due course and remove any Banter that may creep in. So please keep your comments in this thread or send me a Personal Message. I'm off on holiday later today until the 16 September. I may have poor internet connectivity so you may not get an immediate response whilst I am away.
Just a word of warning. When I was scouting for Hotels in Llanidloes I wanted to look at The Royal Head, as it looked quite promising on the various web sites. However, when I got there is was like the Mary Celeste. Eventually I found a plumber working in the Hotel who told me the owner had done a runner that morning leaving guests puzzled and with no breakfast. So if you book your own accommodation than I would check that one out quite thoroughly before deciding to stay there.
If the Scottish pick up the Geordies and travel down together We cant guarantee we wont inadvertently F Offas on the way.
I'm thinking maybe take two days to ride down, stop off midway and then enjoy a good wiggly ride through Wales. Instead of shitty motorway there and back. I will in due course put something up, and if Geordies want, make a trip of it.
Personally I would say so, just because of the added expense, and if you were going over, it would have to be southern Ireland IMHO.
Bloody hell Ron....we haven't done Wales yet And if the numbers keep growing at this rate it'll have to turn into a rally with camping being the main accommodation Unless we take over a large hotel
I don't see numbers growing that much. We only got 30 replies to the poll. If it does, be a fair few will be camping if we do go back to Bellingham! Mate mate stayed up at the Tyndrum bunkhouse at the weekend, as suggested by Dougie. He was pretty impressed with it, all facilities were good and access to Tyndrum for food and beer was easy. Good breakfast just round the corner from accommodation.
Forgot to say, spoke to Susan at the bunkhouse to book. Seemed pleased that we were coming, took details and a paid £12 deposit by electronic bank transfer. There's no room names, so I suggest you put down your choice on the booking thread, first come first served basis. 2 Double beds in the big rooms still available.!!!! Got the double in the small room booked. Nearly pulled that mum at Moffat petrol station this year, so just in case my lucks in !!!!
I tried phoning and emailing but no response! Anyways looks like I might not make this one due to it being on a weekend that has quite a few major sporting events, maybe make 1 night
I can do better Or like last year, just find the drunkest one!!! , but I'm sure you remember nothing!!!!
I have this rule for myself....if I don't remember ...it means it didn't happen But you already know that...don't you pet?
