Finally persuaded my mate Rich to come along to the GMU. (He's my partner in crime with the CX500's - it's his barn).
Coming on Dora the Explorer and will be riding down with me and crispey.

Given I’m not allowed to get the cast wet, he probably would have to. I suspect that would be more traumatic than the rupture itself... but thanks for the offer Dilli...

 

A guy I one knew rode with a pot up to his knee on a regular basis. Luckily it was on his right leg!! It can be done!!

Thanks for the sympathy Wessa, but apart from the pain and discomfort of my arthritis which I heroically ride through, it's Martin @figwold who's too much of a wuss to ride with a sore ankle.

 

It's not going to rain. You can get by without a shower for a few days. You're welcome to pillion with me mate ... so long as you don't mind getting dropped a couple of times.
