Hi all, another, possibly dumb, question.... Was there some crossover between Generation 1 and Generation 2 motors in the 955i Sprint RS? I have seen a number of bikes registered as 2002 and even 2003 models and yet they have the plain clutch side engine casings where mine has the kind with the smaller covers inserted into it which, I assumed, was a sign of the Generation 2 engine. Have I got it wrong or do the plain covers denote a first generation motor?
