I've bought a fuel tap petcock rebuild kit for my 1995 Trident 900, and in stripping the tap down, the vacuum diaphragm is different to the one on the bike, the one on the bike has a plastic spacer between the seals, the replacement doesn't: I'm flummoxed.
Could the one without the spacer be an upgrade, more importantly, does anyne know if I can use it as a replacement

Don't you just re-use the spacer? :worried:

Always easy to do - not that I've EVER done such a thing! AHEM!

Be very careful when assembling, the diaphragm parts are, IIRC, very thin and fragile.

You know I have a fuel tap kicking around somewhere. Think it was of a thunderbird can't remember why I got it. I will dig it out soon and stick it on here if its any good to you you are welcome to it.
