Something I've only dreamt of doing. I've only done solo trips, my furthest being from South Wales to the isle of Skye. Also North Wales, lake district, peak district and Yorkshire, camping/biking. I'm a retired fireman 63, also ex forces, ride a T100 Bonneville and get on with most people.
I cruise at 70ish fully loaded, so wouldn't hold you back, hopefully? Not much experience of group riding though, tagged onto the Glasgow triumph group and they let me ride with them in the highlands, loved it. What sort of price we talking?
    Tom.

Already going next April with four other mates, all on BMW's. So it's my Spitfire (T595) verses 4 Messerschmitts, no contest there then :D

I would expect the ferry to be about £375. That's a lot and hopefully it will be a bit less. Hotels can be very reasonable and as you will be sharing I reckon about £25 a night or less. Add on fuel, beer and food. You'll have to work that out. We haven't thought about routes yet so I can't give you a mileage. Perhaps those that have done this trip before might be able to give you some idea. (@Tiglet @Wessa @roadrider )
I'm hoping we can stop in either Jaca or Potes for more than one night so that would give individuals the chance to do some sightseeing and have a chill day.
As for holding us back, it's not a race, we're going to enjoy the ride, the scenery, the sun, the food, the beer, the wine and the craic.

We’ve stopped in quite a few Paradores in North Spain including the one in Cangas de Onís and can thoroughly recommend them.

Yes I rode down through France and back again a few weeks ago. It's a long drag on the Autoroutes and not much fun. I did it because I was meeting up with @thebiglad about half way down though.

    I can recommend this place.
    http://hoteldeloso.es/en/home/ It's just outside Potes.
The food portions are massive and it's a short ride to Fuente De

Looks a nice place Tim,in a stunning setting and on a great road with sweeping bends from what I remember.

Did you go up the cable car at the end of the road at Fuentes.

Who knows, I’d give it a go.

Are you coming on the trip Tim.

Just been told by Brittany Ferries that next years schedule will be out on 16th Oct so I'd like to book then or thereabouts if that's ok with those of you that are going. I'll pm those that are definitely going.
