Just testing the water. There have been two great trips the last two years organised by @Dougie D and I fancy a trip following pretty much the same route this year subject to my possible pending surgery for another hernia and all this corona virus stuff. I know @BonnieCat is interested, anyone else ?

Last year I planned a May Scotland trip, and paid for a lot of the accommodation. My current expectation is that it won't go ahead, either due to roadblocks restricting travel, or to accommodation providers cancelling :worried:. I hope I'm wrong, but I expect the politicians will want to be seen to be Doing Something and so do king Canute impressions.

I'll be in Ireland from the 11th May to the 17th If you are going to Scotland on different dates I could possibly meet up with you for a run depending on where you are on certain days

That would be good but James is off work that week so I'm not sure we could make it work. Depends exactly when he's due back in I suppose.

Well, with the governments chief scientific bod saying he expects the "pop" virus to peak in ten to fourteen weeks I guess it puts the kybosh on this trip.: unamused::sob::sob:.
Might try and do it later in the year.
Hoping the Spain trip in September is not affected by any travel restrictions, that really would piss me off.

Agree Andy. It’s the best decision but hopefully our Spain trip will be ok. My other biking friends are just debating whether to cancel our long weekend in France at Easter, and it’s looking like we will cancel. :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

I've been watching with interest on what impacts we might have on our trip. Still a long way off, so hoping that we are good to go.....

Well I just don't know if it's going to happen this year. The consensus is that May and September are the best months to do it. May looks a bit early now in view of the Corona thing and a few of us are off to Spain in September all being well.
