Not much in the way of biker meeting spots here except Newcastle. Co. Down, not Englandshire. I don't bother much anyway as I'm a bit of a loaner :joy: now I could tell you of pleanty of great riding roads free fom traffic, cameras and plod :grinning: bliss!

One from me. Matlock Bath (53.12103, -1.56291). Very well known and popular town in the biking community that attracts hundreds of bikes on a sunny day, all parked along the main street. The Rose Cottage pub does reasonable food and there are a few tables outside. If fish and chips is more your thing then you have several to choose from along the street, and a couple of cafes.

Good shout, Andy. It's known as The Carding Shed these days, I think they dropped the Oil Can name. You're right about the place but the service is terrible. It gets busy at times and you could be in for a long wait. I've also had occasions where they took orders from tables that came in after us, drinks that never arrived, and once they brought a meal from the children's menu even though we are clearly adults. Worst of all, they advertise Yorkshire tea but we discovered a Tetley teabag in the pot!

Get there early or make sure you have plenty of time and patience would be my advice.

The good thing about riding with other people is you don't have to talk to them. ;) I have a couple of ideas about doing something similar for routes.

If it's not on the map, then we don't know about it. Anything good to say about those places to tempt people to head there?

Which cafe is it in Slaidburn that you'd recommend?

Cafe Corsa, at Moto Corsa, The Old Brewery, Gillingham, Dorset has just been refurbished and was always very good, plus there are many rather nice bikes to drool over.
I have yet to visit since the refurb but will do so in the near future!!

It’s called Riverbank Tea room. Next to the car park. There is dedicated motorcycle parking in this car park.

That does look like a good place to have a nose around. I don't get down that way much these days but if I do,...well, that's what the Triumph Forum Favourites map is for.

Never been, but maybe the cafe at the Triumph Visitor Experience?

I have heard that the Clun Post Card Cafe Church St, Clun, Craven Arms SY7 8JW is very good and biker friendly too but have not yet made it there.

In my neck of the woods, bikers in the region meet up at Vindfjelltunet Gjestegård every Tuesday through the season.

Of course. Can't not put the cafe at Hinckley on the map. I've been there. It's nothing special but they do have (or had) an impressive rack of engines along the back wall. That was the first time I'd seen one for the Rocket. I couldn't believe how big it was! (I'm no engineer - these things impress me.). I tried to get a picture to show the perspective by having my other half put her hand on it but that photo still didn't do it justice.
