As I mentioned in a previous post, my brother in law had serious shoulder problems. He was recommended to find a good sports physio who works with rugby players, as then they are used to dealing with scrum inflicted shoulder issues. He did, and found it of great help, and the physio identified the cause of the problem which then enabled my brother in law to get surgery to fix it.
Sorry to hear about your shoulder problems Dilli and anyone else who’s struggling in these trying times(including Wayne obviously) As we all get older our bodies start to wear out especially if we’ve led a full and active life.
Bad experience mate??? I thought it helped me years ago after having an operation on my back Couldn’t get rid of sciatica until I seen a chiropractor and he helped me get back to work
Just so you’re aware... https://www.nice.org.uk/news/articl...hould-not-be-used-says-nice-in-draft-guidance
And here in Arizona, too, Dilli. I hope and pray that you can get to the root of this debilitating problem and pronto, Dilli. I don't know how the health care system works there but it's probable that a GP won't be able to deal with what's ailing you. That would be the same in the U.S. unfortunately. And I don't know for sure but I strongly suspect that getting from a GP referral to a specialist would be slow going during the pandemic here as well as the UK. Heck, I've known my orthopedic surgeon for about 25 years and he's a friend of Mr. Sandi and me and I still had to make a follow-up appointment with him two months out. It's just not right. That your symptoms match up with the possible diagnosis that Shaun64 discussed and that's described in the link below may provide you with a self-advocacy arsenal and the ability to apply some pressure. I'm sure that it's incredibly frustrating to be continually be put "on hold" when you are clearly in pain, miserable, and debilitated. I am so sorry you feel so crappy. I'll be praying for you, my friend. https://practicalneurology.com/arti...euralgic-amyotrophy-parsonage-turner-syndrome
FFS Was expecting a telephone consultation this afternoon and hopefully get things started with regards to getting some treatment On Monday as I was ermm.......doing ablution’s I missed a call on my mobile the number was withheld so I didn’t know who it was and I couldn’t call them back A letter came this morning from Sunderland Integrated Musculoskeletal Service asking me to telephone to arrange an appointment?????? So wor lass phoned to ask that the appointment for this afternoon was still booked They knew Feckin nowt about it And of course the missed call on Monday was them So now I’m booked for a telephone appointment at 8.20am Monday the FECKIN 10thFFS you couldn’t make this shit up I know some of you are saying that I should just go to A&E but I really don’t fancy that at the moment what with everything that’s going on really starting to get me down now
This is the expert’s I’m trying to see I’ve already had physio last year and it didn’t work so I’m gonna refuse it if they try to send me down that route again Unfortunately with everything that’s going on I’m just gonna have to be a little patient but the whole thing smacks of delaying tactics Meantime my shoulders are getting worse by the day
Sending you to the musculo/skeletor crew is the standard cheap first route. You've had good advice on what to do and you've ignored it. You're now paying the price. Sorry to be harsh but you know I want the best for you.
Cheers mate But I have given this a lot of thought I have relatives and neighbours who work at the hospitals up here and they are still very very busy with this Covid-19 shit show I’m fortunate not to be at work at the moment as I’m still on furlough Wor lass is working from home so she is being an absolute angel as usual taking care of me Although I’m suffering I would feel very guilty just rocking upto A&E and adding to their work load What worries me mostly is if the shit hits the fan again I know it’s not a life or death situation so it could and probably will anyway just drag on and on If furlough finishes for me and they want me back (redundancy please) I will have to go on the sick
Ok then. My last word is brandy. Half a bottle should do it. Much better than any other spirit. Honest.
My wife has had two total knee replacements. About two years after the first was done, the other knee went the same way, much much pain, she knew the score. She went down the usual physio/skeleto path and got to see the top physio chap who said there was nothing wrong with her knee FFS !!!!!!!! She pressed and pressed and got to see the surgeon who had done her first knee replacement. He said there was no cartilage left in that knee and in no time at all he replaced her knee. So how can you get from "nothing wrong with your knee" to "you need a new knee" ? Doesn't give me any faith in physio's.
Yeah enough of the whinging More HUMOUR needed So I sent this to the hospital explaining why I missed the phone call
