They won't do anything as they'd lose revenue. They just send out an MP on the TV with instructions to put on a sad face, to make Joe public think that they give a and to say to the public that we understand your hardship, and are doing all we can to support everyone at this hard time. Our local petrol station has been £1.79 and £1.93 for over a week now. Total rip off, as further up the road it's £1.58 and £1.66
£1.58 is 70c dearer than our dearest fuel in Northam ! Did the math £1.58 ~ $2.83 dearest locally is $2.11 cheapest is $2.02. Go 90 km into Perth and there's fuel available for $1.89 ??? That's something like £1.03p
Our Australian prices are based on Singapore fuel prices ! We have our own oil deposits and refineries ! So why go off Singapore ?? Because they are dearer than we can source and refine it ourselves ! That's a Federal Government decision for YA!!!
