    Engines in and bolted up,

I dropped the sump today and used petrol/diesel mix to clean
    Refitted sump
    Bolted engine back In
    Rewired
    Refitted radiator, fans, air box
    Connected tank
    Filled with some cheap oil
Turned it over 10-12 times to circulate oil
Started it, ran for < 1 min
Took off sump lug left to drain overnight

    Tomorrow will be

    Fill with new Castrol oil
    Coolent fill
Get it running up to temp
Tune ecu ensure no engine fault codes
    Double check everything

If ok start to refit fairings and plastics
    Clean everything

Took out my plugs out of old engine and fitted those as they only done 1000 miles
Fitted my front sprocket as it was quite new

If everything ok back on road tomorrow

I then want to strip old engine, find out what failed
I fancy rebuilding it TBH, bit gasket kit and crank shells will be £500 before I look at buckets, head etc

Good result was new engine I got I assumed would be a bare engine
I got throttle bodies, starter, clutch, gear set, spare covers, water pump, so lots of spares

It will cost in all around £450 to get back on road as long as this engine has no issues tomorrow

Well, I don't need to buy a new ebook for my Nook - I'll just read your last post over the next few nights!

    Looking good, pal!

try and run compression test on each cylinder...always a good check on a second hand engine.. it will tell you how it has been looked after and if there are any issues with the bore...
