    Specifically, I am speaking of the 1st Gen Daytonas, the 750, 900, 900 Super III, 1000, 1200, and 1200SE (1993-1999).

    I have several Triumph books, and I cannot find production numbers for the 1200 Daytona.

    Does anyone have a source on these numbers? How rare were these motorcycles when new, and how few are left today?

    Thank you!

    I believe the factory will tell you these numbers. Loads of records were lost in the factory fire but you may get lucky?

    If you have Facebook the T300 group is very active and you will find a helpful community with a lot of downloadable documentation too. The old T300's are fairly forgotten on these forum pages.

    VIN numbers are decoded like this on the Daytona 1200's

    SMT = Triumph
    TC354 = Daytona 1200
    C = 1200cc
    R = 18/44 secondary gear ratio
    S = 1995
    SN = xxxxxx

    I'm not a bacefook (or any other soshal meedja) user but do have a great interest in T3s so would also like to see this kind of information.

    I'd forgotten how much was lost in the fire - perhaps it's time to start a more scientific search for this kind of historical information!

    Good luck with the search, D1200E - I assume you'll come back here and share any findings?

    I also don't use FB...did not get any hard numbers so far---but I have been busy. Busy riding my new to me Daytona 1200! What a freakin' beast! I like to call her my Big Beautiful Brutish British Bulldog Beast! What a motorbike!

    My Ducatis are getting very jealous.
