The handle bars have buttons and levers and cannot be controlled by touch-screen. It's too hard to take "selfies" while riding.
Thanks for stating the blindingly obvious I know I am an old twat now you fecktard, I was asking if 36 was considered old?
I’m 24 and Im on a T100 with that being said, I am a fairly new rider but I feel that the modern classic is a growing style in the younger crowd. Cheers.
Not sure what the issue is...I have a T120 Bonnie and I’m ‘only’ 60...how old are these people you’ve seen that bothers you..Jesus!
I owned my first Trump at the tender age of 19. A new 1977 QE II's Silver Jubilee Bonnie. I just didn't like the revvy bikes that Japan offered at the time. When i was younger i always prefered twins and single rather than 4 cyl. Stuck with twins till my Orange Jota, Trident then jumped to a couple of 6 cyl Z1300. It wasn't till around 1997 i bought a 4cyl. Had 2 4cyl Jap bikes till 2016 then dropped back down to a Triple. Back to the original question regarding youngsters on bikes got me thinking. Apart from the scooters and 125cc, i say 99% of bikers i meet and see at places like White Ways and Loomies are over the age of 45 and up. This may be different with Londons Dispatch riders. One thing i have noted with us old folk is most ride higher CC bikes. Mostly what i call sit up models. I think most youngsters prefer their Fiesta's and Scobies rather than getting wet and/or a shag the bird in the back.
Im 52 and loving riding the retro machine even if I do get the piss taken out of me and called a hipster no beard or chequered shirt either.
My first triumph at 25, now 29..second triumph! Cost is a massive factor, a mate sold his street not because its a triumph but biking in general costs too much.
If there's one benifit of being older it's the fact that its cheap. I'm still using kit that's 25 years old, and insurance......£150.
The costs to us old farts is little, but new younger rider's have so many things to buy @ once, helmets, jackets, gloves, pants, boots and likely the most expensive Insurance !! As we already have 90% of all the equipment and since I turned 36 or so my insurance has been similar in cost as my registration ($250 odd) a year is much more manageable than my first insurance policy $1700 at 20/21 years of age !!
I am 55 and have been riding triumphs all my life. my Son is 26 this year and has a Daytona 675 so I think he counts as young
