    haha ! Very good answer.

I'll just paraphrase here what somebody told me on a different topic, same website.

The proper gear is the gear in which you reduce the risks of damage on a potential crash to a level you deem acceptable.

    FAQ's
I don’t have a Cafe' Racer, Bobber, Classic, Tracker, Scrambler, Old School Chopper, Modern Classic, Sidecar, Classic Scooter, Brat Styled motorcycle?

DGR is about the niches within the motorcycle community, consisting of motorcycles that you do not regularly see during your daily commute. It is not an event for our friends on cruisers, sportbikes, motards, modern plastic scooters, dirt bikes, adventure bikes, tourers and Can-Ams. If you can borrow or rent a suitable bike and are dressed suitably, we encourage you to register and join the ride. If not and you’d still like to support the event, a donation is a wonderful way to do so, as well as reach out to your local organiser to help them behind the scenes.

Not happy about this !!!! Mates already sponsored me !!!! Bugger.
