After many years on various Aprilias and just getting rid of my V4 Tuono I'm the new owner of a Speed triple 1200RS. I have many questions on how to deal with an odd number of cylinders so expect to see me posting lost of random stuff in the near future! Not the best start after a disastrous relationship with my local dealer, but expecting a quickie divorce after the first service is done next week...
TBH - my 2007 Tuono Factory is the only bike in my long riding history that I wish I had never sold! Good choice… I was somewhat impressed that the RS had a carbon front mudguard as I haven’t seen that since the old Tuono.
Hi! obviously I'm not the only one who changed tuono v4 for speed 1200 rs I also had, tuono gen2, rsv 2001, and pegaso 650. Now, beside my new speed 1200 rs, I have also aprilia mana 850 as my daily commuter

Grey Fox Welcome to the family. Very nice steed indeed. The inmates here in the asylum do love black bikes one of the favourite colours that black steed. Joe
Greetings, grey fox, and welcome to the forum from a fellow Speed Triple owner (mine's a 2019 RS). That's a beautiful looking bike. I love the character of the triple and hope you do, too. I also hope you enjoy the forum. Lots of friendly and helpful folks here.
Nice........one thing I've noticed how come on the matt sliver you have protection under the rear cowl but on the sapphire black you get nothing..........makes me think I should get some ppf film under there because black looks awful when pitted with stones.....
I'm not going to name the dealer (just yet) as I'm going to see how it goes for the first service this week. But, essentially, I ordered it end of March, between then and now the communication has been poor at best, and totally incorrect at worst. It feels like they got rid of a lot of their staff when the lockdown happened and they kept the rubbish ones to keep ticking over. Apparently (according to the dealer) half of this was because Triumph weren't giving dealers any information because the bikes were delayed in delivery from Asia. But, the dealer let me down in the way that he handled it, in the p/ex, getting it registered, his general attitude etc, etc. From some of the conversations that he was having on the phone while I was waiting, I wasn't the only person that wasn't in a happy place with them!
Hmm keep us informed at least you ordered the best colour like me lol..........oh yeah mines gone back to dealer for an pretty bad oil leak from one of the engine covers plus I had two engine covers replaced due to scratches when delivered and waiting on new tank also scratched when delivered, had 1st service thou, and forgot waiting on exhaust hanger on back order........not a bad start I suppose, but to be fair the dealer is sorting everything out ........the 1200 rs saga continues..........
haha! I think that my problem was ordering the black one - apparently they had had quite a few silver ones through but they hadn't seen a black one until mine turned up
