    Evening all,
First ever post so please bear with me. Had my '06 955i for 8yrs now and spending some time giving it some tlc. But coming across some issues that some folks might be able to shed some light on...

    1. The foot hangers are looking tired now but I've no idea on what options there are to revive or is it a case of having to replace?

    2. There are spacers/washers on the gear selector bar which have perished but struggling to find something to replace it with. Ordered some M6 rubber standoff washers but if anyone else knows what the part is I need then great.

I don't doubt I will come across more as the project continues but any assistance with the above two would be much appreaciated.

    Let’s see then.

    1. Show us a picture of your hangers so we can see what they’re like. Could be just a paint or powder coat is needed.
    2. Have you had a look at Fowlers or World of Triumph parts diagrams? They’ll show what parts should be there.

Magic :). Not a bad place at all in the North West as plenty of places to explore easily, Wales, Lakes, Yorkshire (obvs no in the current climate though :sob:)

    What have you got?

Those hangers look like they could just be polished up. Are they lacquered? Is it the lacquer that’s damaged/coming off?
If there’s no lacquer I’d suggest just a good polish up with Belgom Alu or some other good metal polish. :grinning:

Cheers Freck. I think they are lacquered - will Belgom Ali still be viable option? Had a look on line and not 100% clear.

No, Belgom Alu is a metal polish and so you’d need to strip the lacquer off.
