Unfortunately the biscuit of Kings was not available so had to make do with a Kit-Kat I am actually thinking of lobbying the support of that football fellow Marcus Rashford to see if he can get Boris on the case of the Hobnob, I think it's vital in the fight against the virus!
WHATTT???? You'd take a hobnob rather than a KitKat? 'Kin heathen, you! A packet of plain Kettle crisps and a four bar KitKat is THE 'Lunch of Champions' I'll have you know ................
Just checked online - not eligible to provide plasma. Seems likely the upper age limit is 66. I am, hopefully, still scheduled to give blood in August but ........ the age thing means I'm now limited to fewer donation sessions per year. That'll be a mint Club biscuit for me, then! Oh, the joys of getting/being old!
Blimey there's an age limit on Plasma donation, mind you the nurse did tell me that the plasma had all the good stuff in it, hence why I was surprised that they got a whole pint of it out of me! EDIT - That make me the new improved extra Bad Billy with all the good stuff removed ... cool man!
Wow, I've never had Hobnobs but if you "had to make do with a Kit-Kat" they must be feckin delicious! Because Kit-Kats are in my top three chocolate bar choices. At the moment they are at the top--mostly because Mr. Sandi keeps bringing home the ginormous king-sized pack of them when he does his weekly pandemic shopping trips.
Ah! Now Mr Sandu’s mission should he accept is to track down a pack of McVities milk chocolate Hobnobs, once he has scored them you will be hooked
@Sandi T. do you get Tunnocks Caramel bars??? They’re too good for simple handing out (Hobnobs are great though, especially dunked in tea) Caramels will have the devil on your shoulder encouraging a secret stash and furtive snaffling of the last one in the packet! Lucky that my Mrs is lovely and I’ll share my last one with her... but my kids won’t get a look in!!! http://www.tunnock.co.uk/products/caramel-wafer/
Hi @DCS222. I've never seen nor heard of Tunnocks Caramel bars but Googled them and they look absolutely terrific! I love caramel and I can never resist that "devil on your shoulder" so I'm sure they would be dangerous. I'm going to see if I can get them here in the U.S. I haven't checked Amazon but it does seem like one can get pretty much ANYTHING on Amazon these days. "Furtive snaffling"--I like that. And I do that. Thanks for the recommendation!!
Well, sure enough. Amazon comes through again. I love to "buy local" but I don't think anyone in Southern Arizona carries them. Looks like they are imported from Scotland. How well--and long--do they keep fresh?!
During vintage college blood pint collection events got you a coupon for a free pitcher of beer at the pubs. At least 5 pints in a pitcher, just guessing.
I put them in my Amazon "shopping cart" just now, @DCS222. But they are $30 for a box of 48. Is that typical? Are they that good? And they ship from Scotland so I don't know if my Prime free shipping will apply in this case. Hmmm, maybe I'll just throw financial caution to the wind and go for it! It is $30 after all, not $30,000.
