I seriously worry about the influence of St Dominic and the whole mythology of Vote Leave. I suspect he is advancing the cause of behavioural psychologists and calling it ‘science’. I trust the physicians, medical science, far more. The CMO looks like he is defending a committee decision of which he is not really persuaded. Of all the ‘ologies’ only one is a real science - geology! If you want to slow down the rate of infection you need to socially isolate. The proper role of the psychology types is to highlight undesired displacement (the pub tv v. At the ground) and mitigation strategies (get Sky to show it free). BUT, funny old thing, the league is imploding anyway. Apparently we can’t keep it up long enough. Just put the videos of Italian hospitals and mortuaries on a loop........ 3-4 months partial lockdown looks preferable to that.
