Leather did their job well. A testament to Dainese gear.

Next round I did high side which resulted in a fair bit of injury and destroyed that bike.

One of my favourite riders, a real character, and unlucky to never win the 500 championship.

Christ high sides are no fun!
I had a similar low side to your pictures at Snetterton in the last round, a few bruises and scrapes but nothing much, as you say leathers (BKS for me) did their job.
But what people don't think about is the cost of even a fairly mundane low side, I face planted the floor & took a chunk out, so helmet in bin, left rear set, handle bars, lever, grips, dented tank & broken seat unit so in the region of £500-£600, hate to think what your high side cost to repair!

I agree Billy, Mamola was THE best rider never to win the championship. I remember seeing him in a race at Donington, might have been a Transatlantic Trophy race, anyway, he was so far in front of the rest that he entertained the crowd by doing pretty much all the circuit on the back wheel, about the only bit he was on two wheels was Craner to the Old Hairpin. Feckin awesome.

Randy's a very likeable guy, I remember seeing the video of him getting inducted into the hall of fame he was very emotional,he should have been in the hall of fame years ago
I think Pedrosa must be a contender for the best rider never to win a championship..31 MotoGP wins and runner up 3 times

Yeah, good rider but he has had the worlds first successful charisma bypass operation.

True he has never been comfortable in front of the cameras, but I think he was a brilliant rider

The bike was beyond repair as I ripped a hole in the crank case. Bike and I somersaulted. I made contact with my head on the front wheel as it was spinning so had a rubber mark on my visor the bike ended up on my leg and pulled me across the track. We both came to a rest on the grass.

Again no broken bones but serious bruising and ligament damage.

Leathers needed respires so sent them off to Dainese and they did a fantastic job.

I will never have full range on my right shoulder but I was lucky.

Sold all the goodies and saved up to buy the new bike.......and on it goes

Me and my lad met him the year before he was cruelly taken, down at the Beaulieu bike show which was really good, he took the micky out of the t-shirt my lad was wearing, think it was a Harley one so rightly so , nice guy.

Surely that must have been photoshopped, Lorenzo has missed the apex by about a fortnight?

Here we go, even the humble Formula Prostocks Suzuki Bandit Challenge can throw up a cool racing photo, this is last years champion, James McHardy styling it out over the Mountain at Cadwell on last Fridays test day, respect!
