Most are fair weather bikes or show only, but many of the Chopper Club ride every weekend and spend a lot of time caring for their rides.
I have built a couple in my life but never like those mine were what I could find and fit. Most of those shiny things are no more than ornaments. But I would gladly have them to ride not trailer around to shows. Regards Joe.
Love the video, Dartplayer! The scooter at 8:40 was particularly sweet. I've been to a number of bike shows with bikes akin to this but these bikes are really something.Very unique, creative, and extreme. I'm assuming your brother's bike is the one in the photo below the video. The photo didn't quite do it justice but the video really shows it to be a beauty! One of the cool things about motorcycles in my opinion is that they are (or can be) works of art that you can ride. Motorcycles can be such a vehicle (no pun intended) for creativity and art. And I love how each of us makes our bike or bikes our own through some sort of customization even if not visible. Thanks for sharing this fun and well-done video. Were there different judging categories in this show? In what category did your brother register? Did his bike win anything in this particular show?
Hi Sandi, I haven’t caught up with him since he sent me the video, but he is looking to sell it now he has a VRod. He did design the bike and had it built a Texas and shipped down. Designs are family Koru. Pic is with his last BigDog Chopper and my Neno
Very cool, Dartplayer! I haven't seen a Big Dog Chopper in a long while. Used to see them a lot at the Laughlin River Run in Nevada each spring. How does your brother like his V-Rod? What year is it?
@Sandi T. new this year and he loves it. His best mate has same and a young friend he rides with has a up-specked muscle version. Pix of his now written off big dog are under “Chopper” thread, it was another show bike, but also fair weather ride Edit: incorrect second picture
That's a good looking V-Rod, Dartplayer. I never got a chance to test ride one but heard the engines in those are awesome. I know a few guys who were very disappointed when H-D stopped producing the V-Rod line. Thanks for sharing the pic!
