One for the UK folks. I reckon it will be bloody cold but is anyone planning, or fancy supporting, the air ambulance?
Looks like a charity ride for an excellent cause, @Octoberon! And the name would seem to suit the timing of the event. I love that penguin on the motorbike. If you do the ride, stay warm!! And please give us a report.
I’d like to do it but the event is about 130 miles away so it may be just a bit too chilly. It would give me a chance to try out my new heated jacket and gloves, though. If I go, there will be pics.
There are other, closer ones later in the year. I did one from Newark a couple of years back that was very well attended.
I went on Jan 5th 2020 and i estimate that there was about 500 bikes. It's £10 well spent imho BUT bring your own drink/sarnies as it (café) is rammed.
The ride is also a bit slow as there's quite a few junctions/roundabouts etc. Still (if you’re localish) its for charity and therefore worth it of course.
Changed my mind about going I’m afraid. It’s going to be raining and cold. I’ll give to the cause online instead. Yep, fair weather biker in my old age!
