Cheap Bike Cleaner.....

    Just found this stuff in a local £ shop, looks and smells like the Muc Off stuff which is quite a bit dearer. Not tried it yet but got to be worth a £.

    Yes mate, I had two bottles of it from Poundland. If anything, I would say it was stronger than muc - off and for that reason be careful how you use it. Really put a dull finish on my cast Bonneville wheels.

    I intend to try it on rear wheel degreasing duties. I use a general car shampoo which is good enough for the usual road crap on the rest of the bike, then rinse and dry with one of those pet/bike dryers. I have a chain oiler fitted and use 75w90 gear oil (cheap), not the bespoke chain oiler lubes (expensive) so the minimal fling off washes off relatively easily with a good detergent compared to many of the aerosol spray on lubes which stick like the proverbial.......!
