Right idea (and it's a good 'un)
Right bike (cos it's got play thingys on)
Wrong Price cos there's cheaper for the year although mileage is ridiculously low...

OK, I might keep looking then.
Mileage isn't too much of a problem as I'll be looking at doing some performance hikes such as big bore etc, so the engine will be coming apart anyway.

If you are going to modify and tinker a bit, it may be worth looking at an insurance repairable bike.

It's one possibility, but I'd prefer to get something that's up and running as I want to ride the bike for a while initially to suss out what's the best direction to go with various things and check them out as I do them.
I've got some basic ideas from riding the other half's Bonnie from time to time, taller Hagon rear shocks and a front fork kit, lose all the clean air cr@p etc.

Some of the insurance repairs are just cosmetic damage.
Check with Rich Bryce, he seems to have a few contacts.

One of the reasons I picked the Bonnie is there's a lot of info around for them.:)
Out of curiosity, why did you got to an 18" front wheel ?

Nice bike but a bit on the steep side price wise.
Mine is a 2012 SE and was £4439.00 from a Triumph Dealership with 1800 miles on it.

    Ah ok, it's a T100 then?

I'm looking for the std or SE Bonnie with cast wheels, so won't be able to do that mod o_O

To be a bit more precise about what I'll be looking for, I'm after an EFI one with cast wheels and twin clocks.
I would look at a cosmetic damaged one, but would prefer an unrecorded one, if that's the case.
I've got plenty of time to look around, I've really got to sell my Bandit and the toys I've taken off it first, but if the right one crops up would probably go for it.

With a SE you could certainly install longer rear shocks. This alters the steering angle slightly and therefore quickens up the steering a bit.

I'd like to use the longer shocks and also raise the front (if possible) to give a bit more ground clearance

That would be quite straightforward to do, just not sure how much latitude you have for lengthening the fork springs as I don't know the length of the tubes?

I haven't looked yet but I was thinking of seeing if the fork tubes can be moved down, so no need for a longer fork springs.
(Scrub that, just looked at a pic and it doesn't look like it can be done)

Depending on how soggy they are, upgrading them might effectively raise the front forks a tad?

Worst come to the worst, could always go to a an engineering shop and get some extensions made I guess.
