Featured Champagne is good for your brakes

    I was working on the back brake of the Tiger as it had seized on and cooked, so of course I had taken the caliper off without pumping the pistons out first as one should.
    I don't have any kind of puller tool so improvised this

    2 small ring spanners and a champagne cork.

    and it worked perfectly. Smug.

    Now that really is smart, you can't damage the piston because the cork "gives" so you can't lever the spanner's to tightly inside the caliper piston. Impressive you'll make an A grade mechanic look like a school boy any day !!!!
