Not always ....... this was a freebie a few years Carole Nash did Just for getting a quote.
Not the best quality sadly I had high expectations of it. Glad it was a freebie at the end of the day ......
Good for a freebie but I would be disappointed if I had paid for it. Sadly Oxford aren’t as good as they used to be.

Should have said these have never been used yet, just placed into the top box when on long journeys along with a few extras from my tools. The extras go in a separate bag.
Al I do is add my 1/4 inch socket wrench as it’s better than what’s in the tool kit.
So only put in a nice dry top box and already signs of rust on it.

Hi Rocker, I've got the same kit, it works like a charm for me as well.

as another member said that link is not spread enough, its not the thin pin in riveter that flattens the 2 pins i wouldn't use chain as shown in pic safety issue major damage if it comes off/apart,i torqued mine up 3 times with tool just to be sure never take slightest chance with drivechains.

Cheers guys, Ive been working, got a day off tomorrow so I can get this sorted. New tools here ,and I sent back the other, ( it has arrived so awaiting refund).
I worked that tool slowly and steadily. The reason it broke was cos every time I took it off and had a look nothing had happened, so the next application I screwed it abit more. When you have a rivet and a peening tool you tend to think the tool will spread the rivet. The specification was correct and so was my application (check and double check before and after) The threads on the tool also started to mash up.
So went a little more industrial this time. IMG_20171112_162539987.jpg

    Thanks for the advice all.
There seems to be loads of these virtually identical kits out there by various manufactures, Sealy, Draper, Bergen, Motion,I dont know which are good and which are genuine, Mine bent when used correctly and had Sealy on it.
I am not a big fan of theirs, only I expected to use a breaker / riveter once every few years and didnt want to spend my hard earned on that.
    Ill keep you posted.

Does it different here (11.00) I watched both before and after, and others. Del doesnt get hardly any flare, what he does get is measurable though which is more than I got last time.

I Use the motion pro heavy duty. I've done about four or give chains now. With this type of link (not a great fan ) you have to use a vernier caliper if you want to have total confidance .You measure the un riveted dimension and then again after. Don't overdo it ,all it has to do is stop the link sliding off. Too tight is really bad. Looking at the picture of the flared pin , are you sure you had it assembled correctly ? A pin like that would always be supported by a sleeve. My riveter has a ball bearing in the end of a pin for this type of rivet and a quad stakeing tool for the conventional type.
