    Evening all,
Am wondering whether anyone has any tips for getting chain lube off matt black V&H pipes.
As careful as I am when doing the chain, some of the sticky stuff inevitably gets on the exhaust.
    Any hints gratefully received.

Not sure about burnt on chain lube, but Mr Sheen, or similar, is very good at cleaning it off the rear wheel or anywhere else it gets onto.

Eucalyptus oil or even tea tree oil , both are good softening agents for many oil based products ! They can affect some paint's and plastics though !

I realise I’m answering my own question here but just to finish the thread off and possibly help others, I’ve found paraffin to be the perfect solution. A quick rub over, then wipe any excess off with a clean cloth and the exhaust is like new. Lovely matt black with no shiny bits at all
