Hello all again, chain adjustment reasonably easy task normally, just done mine for the first time, however always looking for a easier way, I had to remove the exhaust to torque the rear wheel spindle nut, Do you all do that????
    Thanks again

    No!

If you check alignment and torque up correctly you can use a small punch mark to consistently align and tighten the spindle without removing the silencers. A long extension bar on an 8mm socket then allows you to adjust both sides equally using quarter/half turns.

FYI. I use the tool below to check chain alignment. Low cost tool and more accurate then using the notches on the frame. Also I have a Street Twin and I don't have to remove the silencers on my bike.
