Can't see a thread on this Gentleman so I thought I would start one. The man is an inspiration to everyone one and I'm proud to say he comes from my home town. Last time I looked he had raised over £14 million. Absolutely amazing.
There's a petition to get him Knighted https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petiti...vOEfFig17bzVb6mccn4Ui_YhffvSC00Pug31aNoyyMxMo
fzr162. Just been on the thread of awesomeness. SleepyOwl has put his song on there. You know it has brought a tear to my eyes. For many reasons as that song means so much to so many. Regards Joe.
Tonight Captain Tom faces yet another fight, this time with Covid, We all wish you well Tom, All our thoughts are with you in this battle and God willing you will prevail. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-55881508
I lost my mum to pneumonia in 2017 and my FIL to Covid on VE Day last year so my thoughts are very much with this lovely man and I really hope he can get through it. Love and prayers to him and his family.
He has a better chance than most of his age due to his fighting spirit. Hope we see him soon trundling round his yard again.
What a shame. A lovely man who made us all feel better when everything was looking dark, RIP Sir Tom.
RIP Sir Tom Moore. A very lovely gentleman and a true inspiration during difficult times. God Bless you Sir.
A great sadness to us all. A man who heroically lived a life of service to others. And the type of man rarely seen today.
