Yesterday after receiving the news that my partner has possibly just months left, I have no choice but to cancel the trips. This cancer is a bastard and I am beyond sad and in a real dark place at the moment. BC

My heart goes out to you mate, I'm going through it with my dad at the moment and had a big scare with my partner a couple of years back, my thoughts are with you and very much hope that it can be sorted.
I don’t know you and likely will never meet you but I was so sorry to hear your dreadful news. I lost my mum just before Christmas after a short illness and even knowing it’s coming doesn’t soften the blow. 30 years in the police hardens you against death as you deal with it week in week out but I’m not ashamed to say I cried like a baby at Mum’s funeral. I hope you can take some comfort from these messages and as you’ll see I’ve agreed with some above but I wanted to put a bit more in writing. You have the love of all on the forum and all those close to you to carry you through this awful time. Be strong, Andrew.
