Working on a seized brake as bike left outside after an injury last Xmas. I have ordered stainelss steel replacement slider pins, however before I take old ones off - potentially damaging them - should I be careful and salvage the long hollow nut on the longer one?
Just realised that it's the guide/locator for one of the pads. Will clean with wire brush and emery cloth and leave in situ.
