Freezing my feckin nuts off in my garage :(
I bloody hate wiggly amps
Have blown 4 fuses trying to get these lights working
Think I've sussed it now by using the tried and tested method of trial and error :p
Gonna have a coffee and get warmed up a bit then I'll get the soldering iron out, shrink wrap and sleeving etc
Got 5 wires coming from my BPOS wiring loom
Only need 2?...one for dipped and one for main :)
The earth has been the problem :(....with ignition off one of the wires from the bike is an earth but turn ignition on and I have no earth ?????
So I'll run a wire from headlights earth to the frame somewhere :) this way everything is working as it should and the BPOS starts and runs fine :)

Right then that's them done :) all wired up and working...well pleased with how they turned out and how they look on my BPOS  IMG_0450.JPG IMG_0448.JPG IMG_0453.JPG Only one job left to go and that's to go out in the dark and set them up :p
Can't look at them directly as they're too bright :cool:and the high beam is a lot stronger again
Hope they're as good as I think they'll be IMG_0452.JPG

I dunno if these are road legal (dilligaf) but I'll worry about that (not) when it's MOT time :p
I do know a friendly MOT tester who's a stickler for safety but has let me get away with loud pipes and dodgy lights in the past

    Cheers mate
Next I would like to make my own handlebars but I think I'll have to do a lot of research as the type I want to make will have the throttle cables and wiring on the inside and leave only the clutch cable and brake hose on the outside giving a much cleaner look :)
I know that this can be done as I've seen it at custom shows at rallies and have spoken to people who've done it but then I get drunk and forget what I've learnt
Best one I've seen looked like it had nothing on the bars:eek:
But on closer inspection an almost invisible throttle was in the usual position and on the left side bar the same set up operated the clutch....a twist clutch:eek:...very clever :p no levers on the bars...the brakes were linked and operated by a foot pedal in the usual position :)
I think that would be beyond me and I don't like other people doing this sort of stuff for me as I get job satisfaction and they always want mega bucks for it
